Why I Use My Vibration Plate
Have you heard of a vibrating plate/ vibration platform? I had seen them on social media for a little while before I decided to purchase and try for myself. I am actually surprised how much I love it! It has rapidly become a daily routine for me. A quick 10 minutes in the morning to get my blood flowing and help with lymphatic drainage. I often do it for a few minutes after my workouts as well to aid in recovery.
After some quick online research, I was able to find a ton of helpful information about vibration plates. First of all, a vibration plate is an exercise type machine that you stand or sit on. You can simply stand or perform simple exercises like squats while on the plate.
Vibration plates help increase muscle strength and tone because of the rapid muscle contractions needed to balance on the plate. It also aids in muscle recovery and helps with stiffness and sore muscles after workouts by stimulating blood flow and oxygen to the muscles. Some studies even mentioned that whole body vibration could stimulate bone growth and increase bone density. Of course any type of exercise has been proven to improve your mood and to reduce stress. This is absolutely a welcome side effect!
