EVOO + Lemon Juice Shot
While on my recent trip to LA, I was introduced to EVOO + lemon juice shots! I was instantly intrigued and had to research the benefits! Did you know that starting your day with a mix of extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) and fresh lemon juice has become a popular wellness habit? It is for a good reason too! This natural combo is packed with antioxidants, healthy fats, and vitamin C that all work together to support overall health in an easy way.
EVOO is rich in monounsaturated fats and polyphenols that support heart health, reduce inflammation, and help balance cholesterol levels. The polyphenols in EVOO also have antioxidant properties that may reduce the risk of developing cancer. Olive oil can help lubricate your digestive tract and support regular digestion. It is often used as a gentle digestive aid vs using a stimulant. So many anti-aging benefits are in olive oil as well. The antioxidants can help repair and rejuvenate skin cells, reverse damage, and make skin look younger. Along with many bone health and skin health benefits, EVOO has anti-inflammatory properties, which can significantly help with pain relief. I could continue to list all of the benefits, but I just wanted to highlight some of the main ones!
The lemon juice adds a refreshing boost of vitamin C and aids digestion, helping to stimulate bile production and support gentle detoxification. It also helps improve the taste of the olive oil and makes it more tolerable to drink!
Together, the olive oil and lemon juice can help improve digestion, reduce bloating, support liver function, and promote more regular bowel movements. Many people also notice clearer skin and more consistent energy when making this duo part of their daily routine.
One of the main reasons that I have added the Olive oil to my daily regiment is to act as a binder for the Ivermectin that I take as a cancer preventative. I have a blog all about this preventative treatment HERE. It is important to take a binder along with this type of treatment. Binders are natural substances that “attach to toxins” in the digestive tract and “escort them out of the body.” A binder acts similar to a broom. It will sweep out all the residual dead parasites, etc and remove it from your body. If you do not use a binder, the toxic waste will just circulate through your body again.
As you know, I love the skincare and makeup from the Olive Tree People (Oliveda) brand. They also make Extra Virgin Olive Oil straight from their superior-quality, mountain olive trees. The olives are hand-harvested and carefully sorted. Justin and I take our EVOO + Lemon juice shot one a day. I add 2 teaspoons of EVOO and the juice of 1/2 lemon for one shot. I’ll drop the link below with the EVOO I recommend!
Whether you take it first thing in the morning or add it to a wellness routine, EVOO and lemon juice offer a simple, natural way to support your body from the inside out.
